Praise

  • The Committee/Board Enrichment Conference held on Oct. 7-8, 2011 at Verity Institute and the Oct. 6 staff retreat both went very well with many of the staff & committee members voicing there excitement of the new vision for chapter leadership. The State Leadership Conference held on Oct. 17-22, 2011 at CEF HQ was very encouraging and we went away with new inspiration for the CEF ministry in Indiana.
  • The Lord has provided many opportunities for the Sept. 2010 to August 2011 ministry year! Indiana Chapters have reported 102 schools with at least one weekly Good News Club (GNC) last school year & 5,438 total children enrolled. During this last summer ministry, CEF of Indiana had 240 total 5-Day Clubs with 3,989 children enrolled. For all the ministries in CEF of Indiana, there were 13,273 children enrolled with 1,205 children making a profession of faith and 42 children beginning to attend church and/or SS. In addition, there were 327 students/teachers who were enrolled in various CEF teacher training opportunities. All glory to God for what HE has done and continues to do!

Prayer

  • Several chapters have new potential staff workers who are in the application process and several have new committee members.Jada Royer, local coordinator for the South Central Indiana area, is up to about 33% of her needed support for her account - JR'11. Continue to pray for Jada as she meets with key prospective donors and promotes the CEF ministry of reaching children and partnering with churches to help fulfill the Great Commission.
  • West Central Indiana chapter is a new chapter for Indiana and has 2 new GNCs! Pray for more committee members needed in the North Central IN, West Central IN & Evansville chapters & for all chapters to be equipped to take their ministries to the next level.
  • Many of you already know that Sherie and I are headed to Kenya in partnership with College Park Church for a couple of weeks (Oct. 28 - Nov. 12) for a Missions Vision Trip. Please pray for safe travels and that we would be an encouragement to the ministry workers and seminary students at NEGST in Kenya. We will also be spending some time with CEF staff in Kenya and Sherie and I will be teaching children at a CEF Good News Club on Friday, Nov. 11.
  • Pray for many to attend both the retreat and the enrichment conference and for volunteers and staff to experience a vision-filled weekend of instruction, inspiration and encouragement.
